★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東京都民として一度は訪れてみたかった場所です。ここには工事殉職者慰霊碑があり、当時の作業で亡くなられた方々に手を合わさせていただきました。我々の生活を支えてくれている貴重な水源として、大自然の中に佇むエメラルドグリーンの湖面は見ているだけで癒されます。都心からも日帰りで観光でき、無料駐車場もあるのでドライブやツーリングにも最適です。展望台にはダムのミニチュアがあったり、風景を一望できます。ただコロナ禍の現在では営業時間が短くなっているので注意ですが、観光名所として是非おすすめです。
 This is a place I wanted to visit once as a Tokyo citizen. There is a memorial to the construction martial arts workers here, and we have joined hands with those who died in the work at that time. As a precious water source that supports our lives, the emerald green lake surface that stands in the great outdoors is healed just by looking at it. You can go sightseeing on a day trip from the city center, and there is a free parking lot, so it is ideal for driving and touring. There is a miniature dam on the observatory and you can overlook the scenery. However, it should be noted that the business hours are shortened now that Corona is a disaster, but it is definitely recommended as a tourist attraction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was very beautiful but after a long hike, very disappointing that there were no drink machines or even fountains. The restaurant was closed too. In addition there is no place to swim. If you decide to hike here from Okutama or elsewhere, bring a lot of water, and don't expect to go swimming.

There is a small museum in the control tower don't miss it.
