★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 玉川上水の出発点。公園も整備されており、豊かな自然と取水所のコントラストが素晴らしい。桜の季節にはさくら祭りが開催され、沢山の出店が並ぶ。出店を玉川上水沿いに少し離れれば、静かに桜を楽しむ事も出来る。
 The starting point for Tamagawa Josui. The park is well maintained, and the contrast between the rich nature and the intake is great. The cherry blossom festival is held during the cherry blossom season, and many stores are lined up. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms quietly if you leave the branch along Tamagawa Josui.

早朝ということもあり
静寂な環境下で水が流れる
奥ゆかしい自然のサウンド。
目や耳を経由して
脳や心に安らぎを与えてくれる。
都内在住なのに羽村へ１泊旅行
それも自転車で果した甲斐があった。
The water surface that reflects the morning sun is very beautiful.
Sometimes it's early morning
Water flows in a quiet environment
A deep natural sound.
Via eyes and ears
It gives peace to the brain and mind.
One night trip to Hamura even though I live in Tokyo
It was worth it on a bicycle.

少し先の神社で自転車の御守りをいただいてきました
I visited when cycling the Tama River.
I received a bicycle amulet at a shrine a little further away

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸時代に四谷まで水を送るために掘られた玉川上水の始まりの場所です。ここから四谷まで水が届いていたと思うと当時の工事を率いた玉川兄弟の技術の高さには驚くばかりです。
またここはタマリバー50kmのスタート地点となり、たどっていけばゴールは羽田空港まで辿り着けます。
It is the starting point of Tamagawa Aqueduct, which was dug to send water to Yotsuya during the Edo period. When I think that the water had reached Yotsuya from here, I was amazed at the high level of technology of the Tamagawa brothers who led the construction at that time.
This is also the starting point for Tamariba 50km, and if you follow it, you can reach the goal at Haneda Airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very pretty place with historical statues and interesting explanations about dams. One of the best places in the area to go walking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place with a bit of history. Apparently the canal was built back in the Ido period, where the water is to serve the historic Tokyo. The water is hence very clean. Although nothing commercial here, so remember to bring your own snack!
