と	とどろきこうじ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 埼玉県の小鹿野市（オガノ）にある化石館。コジカノではないので間違えないようにしよう。ヨウバケという化石が採掘されている地層がすぐそばにあり、ここに来たらヨウバケも見ないともったいないと思います。という感じなので、埼玉県の化石が詰まっているのかと思いきや、外国からの化石もいっぱいあります。それもそのはず、ヨウバケは新生代の地層である。新生代は恐竜絶滅後の時代なため、ヨウバケだけで化石館をつくったら時代が狭すぎてつまらないものになってしまっていただろう。そのため、古生代〜新生代まで楽しめる内容となっております。入館料は大人300円、小中学生200円とリーズナブルな金額となってます。そんな化石館一押しの化石は「パレオパラドキシア」である。入り口の付近に鎮座している。しかし、復元されたものを見ると、誰がどう見ても出っ歯のカバである。駐車場のところには出っ歯のカバの置き物もあるので是非見てほしい。世界の化石が見れるとは言ったものの、埼玉県や群馬県の化石を置いた特設コーナーもあるので、埼玉感もたっぷりの化石館です。入り口の受付でチケットを買うんだけれども、受付のオッチャンはとてつもなく愛想は悪いので、サービス性は期待しないように。 A fossil museum located in Ogano City, Saitama Prefecture.
