拝殿が海側に面してあるためか、もともとの地の持つ力のためなのかわかりませんが、とても、明るい雰囲気をまとっているような御本殿です。
The thatched roof is solid and splendid. Chigi and Katsuo also have solid strength.
I don't know if the hall of worship faces the sea or because of the power of the original land, but it seems to have a very bright atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 本殿・拝殿・随神門は水戸藩２代藩主徳川光圀公の命で造営を始め、３代綱條公の享保15年(1730)に竣工。今ではなかなか見ることができない茅葺の御本殿です。彫刻部分だけ色彩が施されています。塀越しではありますが江戸時代初期の神社建築の工法をご覧いただけます。
本殿を取り囲む塀の石積みには細かい網目模様の細工が施されています。江戸時代初期の石工さんの仕事です。
The main shrine, worship hall, and Zuijinmon started construction at the behest of Tokugawa Mitsukuni, the second feudal lord of the Mito clan, and was completed in 1730 by Tsunaeda, the third feudal lord. It is a thatched-roof main shrine that is hard to see now. Only the engraved part is colored. Although it is over the wall, you can see the construction method of the shrine construction in the early Edo period.
The masonry of the wall surrounding the main shrine is finely meshed. It is the work of a mason in the early Edo period.
