It is a suspension bridge named after his poet.
There seems to be a monument with the song he wrote at Atera Onsen nearby.

ここから遊歩道が始まりますが、足腰がしっかりしていないと、厳しいかと思います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この吊り橋は元々、森林管理のための物でしたが渓谷に架かる吊り橋の景観を守るために平成19年に地元の人々の協力によって改修されたそうです。
吊り橋を渡ると1.2キロ程の遊歩道が続いています。
This suspension bridge was originally intended for forest management, but it was renovated in 2007 with the cooperation of local people in order to protect the landscape of the suspension bridge over the valley.
After crossing the suspension bridge, a promenade of about 1.2 km continues.
