I went before it rained on November 22nd. The autumn leaves and Japanese garden in the precincts are wonderful ?✨? It's a pity that it's going to rain, but I've enjoyed watching this wonderful landscape slowly.

It seems to be a spot used in the drama. The work of the building was gorgeous at the temple of Zen Buddhism. The lawn garden also shines. There is a monument to the Hanno War, which is closely related to this year's taiga drama. It seems that healing workshops such as yoga are also held occasionally.

I enjoyed the precincts and the garden comfortably for an admission fee of 300 yen. The receptionist was also very polite, but when I received the red stamp, he said, "Please pay 300 yen or more," so I only had a 500-yen coin at that time. I can't say "I'll pay 300 yen, so please change" ... I don't want to pay 500 yen, and I'm not used to the system called "Shino", so 300 yen is 300 yen! If it's 500 yen, it's 500 yen! I felt that it would be easier for me to make a clear statement.

It is a temple of the Soto sect. Since it was the main hall during the Hanno War in 1868, the main hall and temple at that time were burnt down and rebuilt. The garden is very nice and you can see it from the main hall. I am grateful for your kindness even though I am busy with the memorial service at the time of the visit. The priest was also able to meet with a smile.

The temple is said to have started in the first year of Bunkame in the middle of the Muromachi period, when Hanno warlord Nakayama Iekatsu invited a famous priest, Axya Buntatsu, to form a small hermitage. Iekatsu's child, Ienori (who is also an excellent military commander who fought hard to attack Hachioji Castle in the conquest of Odawara, refused the life of Toshiie Maeda, a Toyotomi clan, and died in the Hojo clan) It was built to pray. In the north garden of the main hall, there is a famous garden of cultural properties designated by the city, "Ikezumi Appreciation Ceremony Horai Garden," which was selected as one of the 100 best gardens in Japan. You can see seasonal flowers in the garden, but the recommended time is the autumn leaves.

I stopped by from Hanno station to Mt. Tenran and from Mt. Taminenushi to Mt. Kashiwagi. Passing through the magnificent mountain gate, you will find plums and Japanese maples, and you can feel the seasons. Since it was early in the morning, I passed by without entering the garden, but it is a famous temple that has more attractions than just a temple.

Beautiful temple to visit during autumn! I can't overstate how lovely the place is with the autumn foliage, especially the Japanese maple leaves falling all over the compound.
