年４月に野上村の人々によって、ヒノキの根元に建てられ
ました（写真－１）。高さ約 60 ㎝、横 45 ㎝の自然石に、「馬
頭観世音」と大きく刻んであります。街道の牛馬の安全を
願って馬頭観世音を祀りました。そして右側に「向 右 あ
ふぎ町や かわごへ 左 はんのふ ちゝぶ、みち」と彫
られています。
