It was just me and the owner, neither of us were able to speak the others language but we figured it all out! Okonomiyaki is served on the hot plate in front of you, use the little cutter to cut bits off and transfer to your plate to eat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Were looking for a place to try the Hiroshima style okonomiyaki and stumbled upon this little restaurant in a small corner of the road, just a few minutes away from the place park.
A kind lady was cooking on a plate, in a room that could hardly fit 10 people, with a menu featuring mainly okonomiyaki and yakisoba.
We paid 900 yen for 2 okonomiyaki, this was our cheapest meal during our trip so far. The taste was as good as a 2000 yen okonomiyaki. Besides you get to enjoy a meal in a very typical environment.
Though hygiene freaks beware. You can eat directly on the plate she cooks on, and she doesn't clean afterwards... But she will ask if you want to eat on a plate instead (she will say "osara", say yes).
All in all a very good little restaurant, good food, excellent value. I highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here on a whim. The lady was really nice. Cooks the Okonomiyaki right in front of you. It was only 500 yen and delicious. There were a bunch of locals who clearly go there to chill and hang out. She only spoke a little English, but she’ll ask if you want soba or udon Okonomiyaki
