d	dekaishi xin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the price and quality, I don't think Sushi Dai can ever be beat. It took a lot of effort for me to get this meal, and I almost thought I was going to get hypothermia, but it was totally worth it. I have heard varying stories of when the optimal time is to line up since the place is very small and accepts only 13 people in at once. Each person will usually take around 45 minutes to 1 hour to finish their Omakase, so the wait can be very long. I've had friends tell me that they lined up at 4am and waited anywhere between 4-6 hours, so I decided that the best thing to do was to line up and go in with the first group of people when the place opens at 5am. Unfortunately, I picked an extremely cold day to go and it was also raining (and eventually started snowing/hailing). I got to Tsukiji market around 2am, and there was only 2 other people there. It wasn't until around 2:30am that more people started showing up, and by 3am there was around 15 people. I'm not sure how many people there were after that because they began wrapping the line around the building and I was too cold to get out of line to check. The people who run the establishment were very nice though, and I think they were awake the entire time because someone came out around 3am to check on the line, and continued to do so every 15 minutes after that. They also offered umbrellas to people who were waiting in line since it was raining pretty hard. Normally a 3 hour line is not bad, but it was FREEZING outside and the last hour and a half was slightly torturous. I was so cold by the time 5am rolled around, I couldn't feel or move my hands or toes.
