★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東武小泉線の終着駅。以前は利根川を越えて妻沼で東武熊谷線を結ぶ計画があったそうですが叶わず終着駅となりました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔の駅舎は味があって良かったのですが、今の駅舎も気に入ってます。
この駅から刀水橋の近くまで貨物線が走っていましたが、大泉町役場の辺りまでは旅客用として残して欲しかったですね。
I'm glad that the old station building had a good taste, but I also like the current station building.
There was a freight line running from this station to the vicinity of Tosui Bridge, but I wanted you to leave the area around Oizumi Town Office for passengers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東武小泉線の終点で島式ホーム1面2線。到着した列車は3分くらいですぐ折り返す。そこまで短距離な路線でもないが慌ただしく発着している。
Two island platforms on the end of the Tobu Koizumi Line. The arrived train will turn back in about 3 minutes. It's not a short distance, but it's busy.

いない時は乗車駅証明を発券して着駅で精算するようになります
また東武東京メトロパスなどは着駅または乗換駅で発行できるとの事です
昔は仙石河岸へ向かう貨物線がありましたが廃止され、旧ホームと仙石河岸線へ繋がっていた線路が残されています

ノスタルジーはないですが
トイレも清潔そうで明るい感じの駅です
熊谷駅までバスで行けるのでそれも便利です

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この駅の周辺は完全に外国の雰囲気。歩いている方は日本人よりもブラジル（？）の方が多いし、お店の看板も外国語で書かれたものが目立ちます。駅舎のカラーもブラジル色!もともとは軍需工場への工員輸送に昭和16年に開設されたようです。
