It is a quiet station. There are no shops around the station, and there is no waiting room at the station, so waiting is hard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 改札出て右側には国の登録有形文化財の「トチセン（足利織物）」の赤レンガの建物が。駅の開業も明治40年と古いが今はキレイに改築されてます。
On the right side of the ticket gate is the red brick building of Tochisen (Ashikaga Textile), a nationally registered tangible cultural property. The station was opened in the 40th year of the Meiji era, but now it has been renovated beautifully.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The next stop on the way to see the dinos in Fukui for our kid--she of whom earned the nickname "Dino" when she was little--was, of course, full of thrill and anticipation. The animatronic giant beasts made the stop there at station the very seriously good pickens!!!!
