★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well-hidden (4th floor of an otherwise residential building) 'American' cafe. The owner is a friendly and interesting lady who regularly visits the states and other countries for inspiration, both for menu items and for decor, which is American without being tacky or overdone.
The menu is surprisingly robust for such a place, with a wide range of sandwiches, wraps, omelette plates, and the like. There are many decisively American (read: irresistibly sugary) delights on offer for dessert such as sundaes and pancakes, the latter of which can be made vegan on request. In fact, the English menu helpfully marks which dishes are vegetarian and which are vegan. I can recommend the tofu wrap with bbq sauce.
Popular with both locals and homesick foreigners, don't miss this Jiyugaoka gem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food! I'm vegan and found that I had a lot of options here. I had the vegan egg salad sandwich, and my husband had the seitan teriyaki sandwich and we shared half and half. Everything was delicious! Don't miss the opportunity to eat here, it's like some vegan places we love to go at Los Angeles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner is super nice and speaks good English. Menu is bilingual and inspired by her annual trips to the US. Terrific vegetarian and vegan options, as well as gluten free stuff, all clearly marked. Best tuna melt I have found in Japan. Fun, quirky atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Yet there is never a wait at lunchtime... Go there ASAP!
Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this hidden gem by searching for beignets in tokyo. The owner and chef loves New Orleans and makes annual trips back to the states. If you're an expat this place will help you if you're feeling homesick. The menu is large and reminds me of an american diner.
They have everything from salads to burgers to burritos. We got fried catfsih and a philli cheesesteak. Will be back again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute gem in Jiyugaoka if you’re in the mood for an American-style diner. The place is very nostalgic for me, from the posters and decor all the way down to the checkered table cloths. The club sandwich was solid, and there are other items I’ll come back to try. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
