標高285ｍ(比高80m)の城山にあり堀切や土塁、空堀など中世山城の典型的な遺構が残されています。主郭からは多治見市内が一望でき眺望も良いです。
【歴史】
天文年間末から天正年間初頭にかけて、武田氏が東濃へ侵攻した際に武田氏の一族若尾氏が根本に拠点の砦を築いたとされます。天正十年(1582年)織田信長の死後、若尾甚正は兼山城主森長可に従い、大原・根本・小木の所領を安堵された。
天正十二年(1584年)若尾甚九郎元美は、小牧長久手合戦にて森長可に従って参戦したが戦死。

From the end of the astronomical year to the beginning of the Tensho era, it is said that Mr. Wakao, a clan of Mr. Takeda, built a fort at the base when Mr. Takeda invaded Tono. After the death of Nobunaga Oda in the 10th year of the Tensho era (1582), Jinmasa Wakao was relieved of the territory of Ohara, Nemoto, and Ogi according to Mori Nagayoshi, the owner of Kaneyama Castle.
In the 12th year of the Tensho era (1584), Jinkuro Wakao participated in the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute according to Mori Nagayoshi, but died in the war.

標高285mの山の山頂に位置する。若尾氏の本貫は甲斐国若尾村（現在の山梨県韮崎市大草町）で、若尾甚兵衛を祖とする。武田氏の一族でもあり、釜無川流域に古くから住んでいる武士といわれている。天文年間後期から天正年間初期にかけ武田氏が東濃へ侵攻してきたのに伴い、最先端の拠点として若尾氏が築いたといわれている。
Nemoto Castle is a Japanese castle (Yamashiro) that existed in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.
It is located on the summit of a mountain at an altitude of 285m. Mr. Wakao's Bon-gwan is in Wakao Village, Kai Province (currently Okusamachi, Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture), and his ancestor is Jinbei Wakao. He is also a member of the Takeda clan and is said to be a samurai who has lived in the Kamanashi River basin for a long time. It is said that Mr. Wakao built it as a state-of-the-art base as Mr. Takeda invaded Tono from the latter half of the astronomical year to the beginning of the Tensho year.

多治見市指定史跡で登城口に縄張図付きの説明板がある。
登って下ってまた登る登城道は虎口の堀切にたどり着く。
景色はナカナカ♪(^-^ゞ
竪堀に堀切&土橋と戦国山城遺構がある♪
麓の御殿屋敷跡には堀跡が残ってる。
大きくはないケドしっかり遺構が残った散歩がてらに登れる山城だったよん
１月２日に登ったら酔いがさめたf(^^;

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 主郭と二郭の間に作られた大堀切が見事。他には竪堀なども見られる。途中の道は、長くはないもののかなり急。
The Ohorikiri made between the main enclosure and the two enclosures is wonderful. You can also see Tatebori. The road on the way is not long, but quite steep.

登城口から朽ち果てていないのぼりが立っていて、歩いて10分ほどで主郭にたどり着くのですが、その間の道程には案内の挿絵＋→がいくつもあり、道に迷うことはありません。
本曲輪の空間も伐採されていて、大きな堀切がしっかり残っています。
お城自体は詰城だったらしく、本来の館跡は、トーヨー印刷とその裏側に位置しています。
