The base where the new government troops bombarded Wakamatsu Castle during the Aizu War. There was Odayama Castle of Haruna during the Sengoku period.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鶴ヶ城攻略のためにつくられた新政府軍陣地跡。解説のみで遺構はないですが鶴ヶ城までの距離感はわかります。政府軍がここから撃つと山本八重が打ち返したらしいです。陣地を選定するにあたって麓の寺の僧侶がここがお城が丸見えでいいですよと密告したためここに決まったとのこと。僧侶は城の解放後、城兵に切り殺されたそうです。
Remains of a new government army position that was created to capture Tsuruga Castle. Although there is no remains only by explanation, I can understand the sense of distance to Tsuruga Castle. When the government troops shoot from here, Yae Yamamoto seems to have returned. In selecting the position, the priest of the Temple of Dawn was informed that it was okay to see the castle in full view. The monk was killed by a castle soldier after the castle was released.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1868年の戊辰戦争（会津戦争）時に西軍が大砲を設置して鶴ヶ城に向かって幾千もの砲弾を打ち込んだ場所です。
確かにこの場所来て街を眺めると見事に鶴ヶ城他城下の街並みを一望できます。
会津藩はこの場所を奪還すべく動くも弾薬不足で断念したそうです。
小田山公園の中腹にありますが、ここまで来るのもなかなか大変です。公園とはなっていますが人気の少ない山登りが必要なので気をつけていきましょう。
This is the place where the Western Army installed cannons and fired thousands of shells at Tsuruga Castle during the Boshin War (Aizu War) in 1868.
Certainly, if you come to this place and look at the city, you can get a wonderful view of Tsuruga Castle and other castles.
The Aizu clan moved to recapture this place, but abandoned it due to lack of ammunition.
It's located in the middle of Odayama Park, but it's hard to get here. It's a park, but you need to climb a mountain, which is less popular, so be careful.
