★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 青面金剛童子は、帝釈天の使者の金剛童子で病魔を退散させる力を持っていたとされていますが、民間で行われる庚申会(待ち)で守り本尊として祭られるようにもなりました。当夜眠ると人体に棲む「三尸虫(さんしちゅう)」がその人の罪を天の神に伝えるとされ、これを防ぐために人々が一軒の家に集まり、寝ないで一夜を過ごしたとの言い伝えがあるそうです。
隣には「出羽街道中山越」の石碑も建ち、尿前からこの地を経て堺田へ至る旧街道の一部であることを伝えています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 特に見所となる場所はありませんが鳴子峡からの遊歩道を散策している途中にあります。遊歩道は木漏れ日が気持ちよくアップダウンが少な目なので歩きやすいです。
