今年の1月におとわさんに行ったのですが、ご主人がとってもいい人で誠実で、おとわさんなら同じ寿司屋さんとして冷静で客観的な意見が伺えるのではないかと思い、その人柄を信頼してある事柄について電話で聞いたのですが、結果はケチョンケチョンに言われました。まずそういう内容で電話してくるのがおかしいということ、次に自分たちは神経を使って常に頑張って仕事をしているということを滔々と述べられ、更に私たち夫婦がご主人と他の寿司屋さんの話をしていたことを、私たちが帰った後他のお客さんが不愉快だと悪口を言っていたということを聞かされました。ご主人自身は他の寿司屋の話はなんとも思わないんだけど、常連さんが言うことは、初めて来てもしかしたら1回しか来ない客より大事だと言われました。なんでそんなことまで聞かされなきゃいけないのでしょうか。寿司屋の職人はどんだけえらいんでしょうか?寿司屋そのものが嫌になりました。

築地に毎週数回訪問。マグロ屋さんとのやり取りなど、普段聞けない話しも、けれんみなく、話すのは人柄。入ってまず気になるのは、普通の店とカウンターの向きが逆な事。住宅地の真ん中、隣家との位置と換気扇の関係で、こうなったのか?寿司はネタも旨いが、ご飯も良し。客を飽きさせないよう、途中に料理ものが数点。品物の出し方、見せ方に工夫がある。上昇志向で、最終的には銀座への出店も視野に入れているのでは。今後、更なる進化が期待出来る。
