是川遺跡 石碑について
是川地区には、優れた縄文時代の遺跡が多数存在します。特に「中居遺跡」からは、大正９年から昭和４年にかけて、縄文時代晩期の土器や植物質の遺物が大量に発掘され、それまで知られていなかった東北地万の高度な縄文文化の内容が初めて学会にに紹介されました。また、「一王寺遺跡」は、縄文時代前期と中期の円筒形の土器が大量に出土した遺跡として、「堀田遺跡」は、中国の宋の時代の古銭（景徳元宝）が出土した石器時代の実年代を示す重大な発見があった遺跡として。それぞれ昭和初期の学会で大きく取り上げられました。
この石碑は、是川遺跡の重要性を後世に伝えるため、大阪毎日新聞社社長：本山彦一氏から揮惱と出資を仰ぎ、東北帝国大学の喜田定吉氏か碑文を草し、八戸郷土研究会(会長 小井川潤次郎)により昭和７年に建設されたもので、是川遺跡が日本の縄文文化の研究にいかに大きく貢献してきたかを今に伝えています。

In particular, from the Nakai site, a large number of earthenware and plant-like artifacts from the late Jomon period were excavated from the Taisho 9 to 1949, and the content of the advanced Jomon culture in Tohoku area that had not been known until then Was introduced to the conference for the first time. In addition, "Ichioji Temple Site" is a site where a large amount of cylindrical pottery in the early and middle Jomon Period was excavated, and "Horita Site" is a stone age where ancient coins of the Qin period of China were excavated As ruins that there was serious discovery to show the real age of. Each was taken up a great deal at the early Showa era conferences.
In order to convey to the future the importance of the Korekawa ruins, this monument receives investment from the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun-sha President: Mr. Hokiichi Motoyama. It was built in 1955 by the association (Chairman Oigawa Junjiro), and it tells us now how much the Koregawa ruins have contributed to the study of Japanese Jomon culture.
