Visited on weekday afternoons in November 2021. Is it a large cylindrical object outdoors? I thought, but when I entered the building, I could enter it. I also had a solo exhibition by Sayaka Hanafusa, but even if I included it, I felt that 30 minutes would be enough, so it's worth paying the admission fee of 700 yen. Admission is free for people over 75 years old (but a certificate is required), so it may be okay. The atmosphere of the attached townsman library was nice.

This is Produced by architect Arata Isozaki, It is a museum that integrates architecture and works. ·Moon Sit on the bench, clap your hands, To the sound that echoes in space Listen quietly. Hearing the sound, HISASHI on the wall Looking at the object for a while When resting on the bench I feel calm, The mind and body will be healed. · Earth A number of stainless steel wires Cross and walk in the meantime. Because the wire is very delicate Bend your head and hips a little so that you don't touch them Brightness and dimness while crouching As you go through the weaving space, you will find yourself Shaking like a wire It became a feeling like. ·Sun On the ground and ceiling of a cylindrical space Horizontal bars, benches and seesaws are arranged The stone gardens of Kyoto Ryoanji Temple are on the left and right walls. The imitations are arranged. Time zone, weather, season from the circular membrane The sunlight that changes depending on the sun enters. When you step into this space Due to its mysterious atmosphere A little to the feeling that you originally have As you noticed felt. The above three exhibition rooms, two galleries, In the library, restaurant, coffee shop It has been constructed. In addition, the three exhibition rooms are the harvest moon in mid-autumn. The summit of Mt. Nagi, the angle at which the sun rises, etc. The angle that incorporates the elements of nature Utilized in the design It is a placement plan.

You can take a very fantastic picture like the first one. A room with a fantastic display in the shape of a cylinder When you walk, your sense of direction becomes strange (laughs). You can also take a picture using the seesaw or chair placed in such a place. It seems that I jumped into the trick art ? The sun, moon, earth and other themed exhibits are on display ? I don't usually go to museums because of the goodness of each exhibition hall, but it was a very good museum ✨

Best art museum in Okayama! I prefer this museum over Kurashiki and the art islands because it has visual, audio and physical art. It is a very small museum with no crowds but it took us all day to get through the entire museum.

Absolutely work the trek out to the countryside. A unique and memorable integration of art and architecture, like nothing I have experienced before.

Arata Isozaki’s museum is a must if you love art and architecture. We did a 4 hour trip just to see the building and.. it was worth it! The space is mind blowing and gives you a sense of tranquility that is unique. A real masterpiece. The place is quiet with a nice small cafeteria where we enjoyed coffee after visiting this amazing place. The trip on its own is unique and you get to enjoy the view passing by rice fields, bamboo forests and small villages. We were so happy that we decided to go.. we will never forget this place!
