エ	エヌペケ16 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟県小千谷市横渡 - 長岡市妙見町（県道589号：小千谷長岡線）※旧国道17号線標高：約56ｍ榎峠は小千谷市と長岡市を結ぶ県道沿いにあります。低い標高だが信濃川の侵食で断崖となり、近世では三国街道の難所だったとされています。1868年（慶応4）「北越戊辰戦争」で官軍と幕府（長岡藩）軍の激しい戦いがあり、峠を巡る争奪戦が起こった場所でもあります。 2004年（平成16）に発生した「新潟県中越地震」により、榎峠の南側「石坂山」の西斜面が崩壊。乗用車に乗った親子が呑み込まれた事は記憶に新しい。その後、紆余曲折を経て2007年（平成19）に復旧して通行が可能となりました。 Yokowatashi, Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture --Myokenmachi, Nagaoka City (Prefectural Route 589: Ojiya Nagaoka Line) * Old National Route 17 Altitude: about 56m Enokitoge is located along the prefectural road that connects Ojiya City and Nagaoka City.
