小さな神社ですが、実は境内には色々な歴史的史料が保存されています。
まず手水鉢に「安政五午年 九月吉日」(1858年)と銘刻されていることから、少なくとも幕末までには鎮座していたことが分かります。
また、祠の後ろには様々な石造物や神社の備品が置いてあり、例えば「昭和十一年五月」の銘が入った石板があります。これには金額と個人名が彫ってあり、1936年に神社が修繕されたことも分かりました。
さらに現在は賽銭箱はありませんが、やはり祠の後ろに石で造られた賽銭箱が置いてあり、「紀元二千六百年記念」とあることから、昭和15(1940)年頃には一時賽銭箱が存在していたようです(その後いつ廃止されたのかは定かではありません)。
他に歴史的史料には、横中央から割れた扁額や「石熊」と刻まれた切石(「石熊」は石屋の屋号か)、各部に解体された石灯籠などがあり、同じく祠の後ろに保管されています。
扁額があるということは、かつては鳥居に社号の入った扁額が設置されていた事実を物語ります。その後何らかの理由(空襲？)で扁額が損壊し、そのかわりに「武蔵御嶽神社」と入った黒御影石の社号碑が昭和48(1973)年5月に建てられたということになるでしょう。
このように小祠ながら、様々に歴史を垣間見れる神社です。

Although it is a small shrine, various historical materials are actually preserved in the precincts.
First of all, since the chozubachi is engraved with "September Yoshiday, Ansei 5th year" (1858), it can be seen that it was enshrined at least by the end of the Edo period.
In addition, various stone structures and shrine equipment are placed behind the shrine, for example, there is a stone board with the inscription "May 1945". It was engraved with the amount and personal name, and it was also found that the shrine was repaired in 1936.
Furthermore, although there is no offering box at present, there is also a offering box made of stone behind the shrine, which says "2600th Anniversary of AD", so a temporary offering was made around 1940. It seems that the box existed (it's unclear when it was abolished after that).
Other historical sources include a flat frame cracked from the center of the side, a cut stone engraved with "Ishikuma" ("Ishikuma" is the name of Ishiya), and stone lanterns dismantled in each part. It is stored in the back.
The fact that there is a biane tells the fact that the torii used to have a biane with the company name. After that, the biane was damaged for some reason (air raid?), And instead, a black granite monument with the words "Musashi Mitake Shrine" was erected in May 1973.
Although it is a small shrine like this, it is a shrine where you can get a glimpse of various history.
