★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 険しい岩塊が聳え立つ霊峰、登山道は城跡(展望台)までは緩やかでファミリー向け。しかしその先は馬の背になっていて両側が断崖絶壁です。登るなら足元を固めて。
町側から見て左側の峰が山頂とされ191メートルある。実はそこより東南東に約270メートル離れた右側の双耳峰が194.75メートルあり、山頂より少し高い。右側はなだらかに見えるが仰角の関係で頂が見えていない。裏の温泉街からみると左側の山頂よりも急な崖となっていて、裏側から登るのは徒歩では困難を伴う。
The sacred mountain where steep rocks rise, and the mountain trail is gentle to the castle ruins (observatory) and is suitable for families. However, beyond that, it is the back of a horse and there are cliffs on both sides. If you want to climb, solidify your feet.
The peak on the left side when viewed from the town side is the summit and is 191 meters long. In fact, there is a binaural peak on the right side, about 270 meters east-southeast, 194.75 meters, which is a little higher than the summit. The right side looks gentle, but the top is not visible due to the elevation angle. Seen from the back hot spring town, the cliff is steeper than the mountaintop on the left side, and it is difficult to climb from the back side on foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「麒麟山城」は別名「狐戻城」。あまりの険しさに「峰渡りのキツネさえも後戻りする」とさえ言われていて、金上稲荷神社から先は、まるでロッククライミングみたいな岩場の断崖絶壁が連続している。途中の景色が素晴らしくて、思わず心を奪われそうになるが、手摺りや鉄柵などのガードが何もないから、我に戻りそこは何とか踏ん張りどころ。頂上からの景色もさらに格別ですが、看板で注意喚起されているように、絶対に頂上から「その先」への縦走はしない方がいい。見るからに危険。また、下る際にもあまりに勢いをつけ過ぎると大変なことになりそう。十分に気を付けたい。
"Kirinyama Castle" is also known as "Kitsune Return Castle". It is even said that even the foxes crossing the peak will turn back due to the steepness, and beyond the Kanagami Inari Shrine, there are a series of rock-climbing cliffs.
