受診のきっかけは、窃盗という「倫理的に悪いこと」をした自分に絶望して、警察に自首したことでした。厳重注意処分で終わりましたが、調べたところ、自分の行いが「病気」かもしれないと知りました。病気なら治るかもしれない、治れば後ろめたさや心のモヤモヤが少しは軽くなるのでは？というある意味ズルい考えで、クレプトマニア専門病院を検索しました。他の病院は口コミが辛辣であったり、入院しなければならなかったりと、ハードルが高かったのですが、こちらは開院したばかりで口コミはなかったものの、通院のみの治療方針だったため決めました。診察では、過ちを責められるだろうと覚悟していましたが、「病気」という観点からわかりやすく説明してくれ、自分には非常に腑に落ちる内容でした。治療法も難くも厳しくもなく、回数を重ねることで確実に効果を感じられました。入院もなく、症状に応じた回数で通院治療するので、自分と同じように、「窃盗症かも？」「あまりハードルが高くない方が良いな」と考えている方にオススメできます。現在は、治療はほぼ完了し、時々お伺いする程度ですが、引き続きお世話になろうと思ってます。
