★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水戸駅から吉田神社を目指す途中で立ち寄った古墳。八角墳は今まで見たことがありませんが、角は判らず盛り土のようです。
An old burial mound that I stopped by on the way from Mito Station to Yoshida Shrine. I have never seen an octagonal burial mound until now, but the corners do not seem to look like a fill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水戸市の中に六世紀の古墳があるとは知りませんでした。古墳に興味のある方は訪れると良いと思いますが、古墳の原形は留めていないので、想像力を高めて見学して戴くと楽しめると思います。
I did not know that there is a 6th century tumulus in Mito City. If you are interested in tombs, I think it is good to visit, but I do not keep the original form of the tombs, so I think that you can enjoy it by visiting it with your imagination.
