師	師岡昌美 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 自分と同じ名前の神社があると聞いて早速ググって行ってみました。電車だとJR青梅線の東青梅駅からかなあ？車だと東青梅駅の辺りから成木街道に進みます。道路から入れるのかってくらいの細い道へ入って突き当たりお墓の少スペースに車を止めさせて貰ってお参りしました。小さい神社でそそっと建ってる地元の氏神様って感じでしょうか？神社の前の樫の木は凄く大きく御神木の貫禄は充分でした。お寺さんの隣にありました。 I heard that there was a shrine with the same name as my own, and I immediately went out. は	はるのゆいたろう on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 光明寺の直ぐ隣にある師岡地区の鎮守です。有名なのは青梅市の天然記念物にも指定されているシイの木です❗️ 師岡神社は山の中腹に有りますが麓から見上げてもそのシイの大きさに圧倒されます。この辺りは雷も多かったのでしょうか⁉️摂社では珍しい雷社が祀ってありました。ちなみに展望は真下にある光明寺本堂が邪魔してあまり良く無いです。逆に光明寺墓地側の勝沼城址からの方が青梅市内の展望がききます。地区の鎮守ですので神社の駐車場?️は無さそうです。隣の光明寺に停めさせてもらうのが良いと思います。 It is the guardian of the Shikaoka district right next to Komyo-ji. 村	村口英雄 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東青梅駅から城山通りをしばらく行くと、左手にこんもりとした丘が見え、長い石段が続いて登り詰めた所が師岡神社。 1300年初頭創建の古社で、あまり広くない境内のひとすみに御神木のシイの木が佇む。 1490年代に植樹されたといわれる古木は幹周り6m近くはありそうで、木もこれだけ大きくなると植物というより、呼吸する動物のようにも見える。こぶだらけの幹が寿老人のように見えてきて、やっと『福』に巡り会えそうな気がしてきた。振り返れば鳥居越しに青梅の街並みを望む… このシイの木も永きにわたってこの街の歴史の移り変わりを見てきたのだろうと思い、掌を合わせた。神社の裏手を登りきると勝沼城跡に出る。 If you go along Shiroyama-dori from Higashi-Ome Station for a while, you will see a thick hill on your left, and the place where you climbed up with long stone steps is Morooka Shrine.
