Cospa the worst Once you go, there is no next Is it also a plan exhibition? There are too many things to attach Is not it related to the ruins? Sometimes I think Is not it in charge of the pilot memorial hall across from the house? And

I think it would be good to have more excavated items from the backyard in the exhibition space, expand the exhibition room, and make it a museum that can be appreciated by adults.

I am surprised at the type and quantity of Jomon pottery. In the archeological site library, deep bowl-shaped pottery (93 cm in height) excavated from Japan's largest Jomon pottery Odatecho archeological site is also exhibited. A large settlement in the middle of the Jomon period, part of the excavation site of the pit dwelling at the site of Odatecho, a designated historic site in Iwate Prefecture, has been restored to its original size, allowing you to experience a simulated excavation.

A small excavation museum. It seems that you can visit the place like a warehouse that stores earthenware if you request it.

A slightly enthusiastic museum focused on archaeological sites. The exhibition is small. Anyway, I wanted the exhibition contents to be more enthusiastic and enjoyable for adults. Overall it feels like a child.

We visited on December 11, 2021. Materials about the ruins in Morioka City are exhibited for each era. What caught my eye this time was the large deep bowl excavated from the Odatemachi ruins. It is a caliper-shaped deep pot in the middle of the Jomon period (around 2500 BC) and is a super big size with a height of 92.8 cm and a maximum width of 61.5 cm. Since there is no evidence that it was used for boiling, it is thought to be for storage or ritual. If possible, I would like to see the total weight as well. It seems heavy, but the bottom is small for that, and it feels like a difficult shape to make by stacking. I was also wondering how the pottery of this size was fired. In addition, the excavation materials of the kitchen fence and the female door fence (Ubatosaku) that played the role of the previous nine years. You can see the stones excavated from Minamikyozuka, which is thought to be in the middle of the Kamakura period. The admission fee is 200 yen for adults. There is a parking lot near the building where about 40 cars can be parked. It is closed on Mondays.
