Beautiful flowers are blooming along the Kanda River during the cherry blossom season. This is a monument when a local woman received a Yamabuki flower when Dou Ota visited here.

It was made by the common people of Edo in the Edo period. Perhaps, at the current school, you may not be taught about Dokan Ota, but even if you were taught, you built Edo Castle. When Dokan rained on his way home from falconry, he stopped by at a nearby private house to rent a mine, but the daughter of that house put a Yamabuki flower on the tray and offered it to him. Although he tried to rent it, Dokan said he was angry and returned. After that, when I was reading the book, I found a Japanese poem called `` Seven-fold, double-flowered but Yamabuki, but one of the fruits is sad, '' and I knew that I was crossing Minoh with (real), and I was ignorant. It seems that it was based on the anecdote that he was ashamed of, and that his daughter's house may have been around here, but since Dota Ota is from the Muromachi period, no one sees it, and the Edo period It is a story imagined from Edo Castle. There is a person who has the image of a daimyo, but one of the offices of the Muromachi Shogunate, the ancestor of Sadamasa Uesugi (the so-called butler) of the office of the Kanto region.

When New Mejiro Street was not built yet When you are heading to Waseda on the Toden A stop (old) called Mekage Bridge came out. I guess it's a tasteful name There was no need to go down and take a walk Nostalgic. I searched for the name did not understand. Just at the time of the bridge I'm not sure, but now it's a shiny explanation version There's nothing like a rude (rude) Dosojin I saw it and found that it was Yamabuki no Sato It was written. As singing as Doi I ended with a fan (sorry) Somewhat singing Nanae Yae ~ About one verse of one of the mi If you remember, your perspective would have changed. The only thing that remains is Yamabuki Only the monument of Yamabuki-no-sato and his old-fashioned memory But it was fun. (The monument of Yamabuki no Sato has moved. Kanda River along the fence under construction Turn left and you will be surrounded by a fence. When the construction is over, it's a bit like Yamabuki's village I want you to do it)

It is a place related to Ota-dori. Apparently there used to be Yamabuki-no-sato here.

A stone monument that tells the legend of Yamabuki no Sato by Michio Ota. This quietly standing monument of Yamabuki no Sato was built in 1686 and is very old. About 200 meters north of this monument, there is a temple called "Nanzoin". It seems that this monument was originally at the entrance of "Nanzoin". By the way, this "Nanzoin" is a separate temple of the nearby "Takada Hikawa Shrine", and Hikawa Shrine is a shrine with a very connection to Ota Doi. About 350 meters east of this monument on the side of the Mekage Bridge, there is a park called Yamabuki no Sato Park north of the Kanda River. If you go east along the Kanda River for about a kilometer and a half from the stele, the place will be named “Shinjuku-ku Yamabuki-cho”. In the past, this neighborhood was called "Yamabuki no Sato", and in the past I thought it was a place where falconry could be done.

Michiaki Ota was in the rain on his way back from falconry, and stopped by borrowing firewood from a nearby private house. Although I wanted to borrow a kite, I was out of Yamabuki and Gokan got angry and returned later, but when I was reading a book later, I found a waka that says “Nana Yae is in bloom, but it ’s one of the fruits of Yamabuki” I realized that she wanted to say that she had no jealousy, and was ashamed that she didn't study. This is an anecdote of the fact that Ota Michikan and Yamabuki-no-sato were used, but the nearby bridge is also the name of the event. However, this monument was erected in the Edo period, and the true Yamabuki-no-sato is said to be Saigo's birthplace.

It is located near the exit of the one-way street from the front of Takada Hikawa Shrine, on the side of the Kanda River's Omokage Bridge. (As of October 14, 2018 ・ Because the back of the monument of Yamabuki no Sato is under construction and behind the protective wall, it will be overlooked while driving on the road.)

The place I wanted to visit once after reading Rin Hamuro's novel. Seven-fold and double-flowered flowers are in bloom, but they are only one of Yamabuki, so I'm sad.
