Monomi-iwa Rock - Hachinohe

The reason why Keigetsu Omachi (a literary person in the Taisho era) described the scenery from here on the rocks as "a view of 200,000 stones with a panoramic view". I can see the sea well. If there was no Seagull View Hotel building, the pine trees in the adjacent forest would be short and the outlook would be more effective. It can't be helped because it was managed as a garden, but in the past there were many shrubs of Ligustrum ovalis, which were filled with a nice scent during the flower season, but for some reason they were mostly cut down. Oyama cherry trees are planted on the hillside. There are many Oshima cherry trees on the site of Mr. Pheasant in front of the Seagull View Hotel and in the forest behind, and there are quite a lot of seedlings of hybrids of these two species growing around here. From things that are close to Oshima to things that are close to Oyama. The hybrids also bear fruit well and are a good food for wild birds. When this cherry blossom is in full bloom, you can see that Samekado is a "cherry blossom garden" when you look at it from this observatory rock. The additional image is a flower of Orobanche coeruleus that parasitizes Artemisia japonica, but I thought it was interesting because it was not seen on the coast but at the top of the rock. Orobanche coeruleus is said to parasitize Capillary wormwood in the sandy areas of the coast in many cases, and it is said that it may parasitize Artemisia japonica in areas other than sandy areas. There are many capillary wormwoods in the sandy areas of Osuka, but I have never seen Hamautsubo. I've often seen artemisia japonica parasitizing along the promenade of Nakasuka, but I didn't think it was on the top of the observatory rock. I think it might have been carried with seeds on the bottom of my shoes as I go so often, but do you think too much? The forest beyond the earthworks just behind the monumental rock is in a state close to the natural succession where the natural forest of Japanese red pine is about to be replaced by broad-leaved trees, but the composition of the broad-leaved trees has changed a little. Quercus crispula, Quercus serrata, and shrubs usually have Kamatsuka, but there are also many Ligustrum ovalis. There are also many individuals here that are thought to be hybrids of Prunus speciosa and Prunus speciosa. It may be Ezoenoki, but the leaves are individuals that look like an intermediate type with Enoki. It is unusual for buckthorn to be found in the shrub layer. There are three types: Akebia trifoliata, Akebia trifoliata, and hybrid Akebia trifoliata. This side of the earthworks is clearly man-made and has forsythia. If you think about it, it may look natural, but after all, it's a man-made nature, so it's natural that there is something unnatural.
