During winter, traffic will be closed, but around May, the Obanazawa side will be preceded and traffic to the pass will be canceled, and the uppermost side will be open around July. The prefectural road 28 that connects Mogami Town in Yamagata Prefecture with Obanazawa City is now a [Yamatou Tunnel] and can be moved easily, but it was once a difficult point.
