★ ★ ★ ★ ★ オープン二日目に行ったので まだ ゆっくり見ていませんが、他にはないここだけのお品も有ります。
チョコレート屋さんや抹茶のバターサンド屋さん。等々。
電車を降りて 直ぐに買うことが出来るので、便利です。
次回 じっくり買い物をしようと思います。

地酒なんて、街中でも置いているところが少ない澤屋まつもとや、季節限定のshirakikuが、普通に棚に並んでます。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ＪＲ在来線2階の改札前にあったSUVACO跡に、お土産やお弁当を購入できるエリアがオープン。定番の生八つ橋や漬物、京ばあむなどの他、グランマーブルのマーブルデニッシュやDari Kのカカオドリンクもあります。関西初常設のプレスバターサンドは京都限定で抹茶味もありましたよ。

出張のとき、また弁当買えるようになって嬉しい。
けれど、すべてこの品ぞろい。
1000円以下のお弁当ほとんどナシ。
ビールもほとんど売ってない。
あと、クレジットカードの支払い時にはすべてサインが必要になった。。
面倒だし支払いまち時間長くなった。。
支払いをケチケチしない観光客ターゲットに変わったんですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ suvacoに代わって2018年10月11日にオープンした土産物店。これまで駅の1階や伊勢丹の地下、新幹線改札の中には充実した京都みやげコーナーありましたが、よく考えたら新幹線に向かう導線の中にはそういうの無かったなあと思うし、新幹線じゃない在来線で京都を去る観光客もここで買えばいいので、場所的にとても良いと思います。
ただ、京都に住む者としては、従来のsuvacoが「帰省などから戻ってきて、家についてもすぐに食べられるものがない場合に夕飯を買って帰るお店」として重宝していたので、代わりになる場所をこれから探さないとなあと思います。観光客が増加してて、駅の機能が住民よりも観光客、特にリピートしてくれそうな観光客にシフトするのは当然なので、まあそれも仕方ありません。次回駅に行ったときには時間かけて探索してみたいと思ってます。

Until now, there was a fulfilling Kyoto souvenir corner on the first floor of the station, in the basement of Isetan, and in the Shinkansen ticket gates, but when I think about it, I think that there was no such thing in the line leading to the Shinkansen, and it is not the Shinkansen. Tourists leaving Kyoto on the Shinkansen can also buy it here, so I think it's a very good location.
However, as a person living in Kyoto, the conventional suvaco was useful as "a shop to buy dinner when there is nothing to eat at home after returning home", so instead I think I have to find a place to be. As the number of tourists increases, it is natural that the function of the station will shift to tourists rather than residents, especially tourists who are likely to repeat, so that is unavoidable. The next time I go to the station, I would like to spend some time exploring.

飲食店が無くなって、お土産屋さんメインに変わってます。
