Miyagawa Shrine is extremely old and is said to have been a great treasure year, and is one of the nineteen Enki-style internal shrines in Kameoka-gun (Kameoka City and Kitakuwada). According to the "Yamashiro Kokudo Fudoki", the Izumo zoku, who had a base around Kameoka, and the Kamo zoku, one of the Tensonzoku who entered the Kyoto basin, fought for power, but eventually a consensus was reached. In conclusion, as a sign of that, the daughter of the Izumo-zoku chief, "Ikakoyahime," became the wife of the Kamo-zoku chief, "Kamo Taketsunomi no Mikoto." We gave birth to "Tamayori Hiko" and "Tamayori Hime". The child born by this "Tamayori Hime" crossing with the "Honokazuchi no Kami" is "Kamo Wakeikazuchi no Mikoto", which is now Shimoga Shigeru and Kamigamo Shigeru. It is the founding luck of both companies. Miyagawa Shrine is "Iga Koya Hime no Mikoto", and Shimogamo Shrine is "Kamo Taketsunumi no Mikoto" and "Tamayori Hime no Mikoto". "Mikoto" is enshrined, and Kamigamo Shrine enshrines "Kamo Betsurai Mikoto" as a deity. Due to this god relationship, 23 priests of Miyagawa Shrine attend the Aoi Matsuri every year. When it was first built, it was not at its current location, but at Hachimantai, near the summit of Mt. Konoyama (now Mt. Kamio). Initially, the god of worship was a troupe, but it became a troupe after enshrining Usa Hachimangu in Buzen Province (the god of worship is Houda Betsumei). It seems that the place name Hachimantai comes from the place where Hachiman-sama was enshrined. Also, the name of the shrine was not Miyagawa Shrine but Kamuno Shrine. Until the Middle Ages, it prospered as the guardian deity of Kinrinji Temple on the same mountain, but it was destroyed by fire in the battle between Akechi Mitsuhide and Hatano Hideharu's Kamio (No) Yamashiro in 1577. The villagers thought that it was a curse of Kanno Shrine, and in the 4th year of Shoho (1649), they moved to the present location and worshiped it, considering the convenience of visiting. After that, in the third year of Kyoho (1717), the shrine of Nagare-zukuri Hinohide was built, and it continues to be the Miyagawa Shrine with the name of the village.

After 5km, you will come across a narrow road that branches to the left. It's hard to understand, but you can see the village on the far left and proceed along the Shinoyama Highway. After 700m, there is a garbage collection point, go diagonally to the left and head toward the mountain. At 280m, you can see the village on your right, and if you go straight, you will go up the mountain, so turn right, enter the village, 100m, and you will see the god lantern on your right. Turn left at the alley and you will see Jizo-do on your left. There is a parking lot for climbers right next to it, so I would like to rent it. Heading to the mountain for about 100m, you will see the torii gate on your left.
