The school name, which is a symbol of the unification, was called "Aono Elementary School" by taking the place name "Aono" where the school was located by recruiting from local people. The school district is located in the northwestern part of Kameoka City, surrounded by mountains and greenery of paddy fields. It consists of two towns, Miyamae and Higashimoto Ume, and the parents and local residents are cooperative, and they have a good understanding of school education, so the local educational ability is high. Many of the parents are households living together for three generations, and one of the features is that they have a high level of education at home. Geographically, it is about 11 km to the center of Kameoka City and about 6 km to JR Chiyokawa Station. With the opening of National Route 9 bypass between Kyoto and Chiyokawa in February 1987, and the opening of National Route 372 bypass in November 1994, the traffic volume on the road in front of the school increased, and there were traffic safety issues when going to and from school.
