琴平から国道３２号線を南に少し走ると、まんのう町(旧仲南町十郷)の宮田と云う集落があり国道沿いに鳥居が見えます。そこが国王神社で奥にはまんのう町少年育成センターが有ります。小さな神社ですが歴史は有りそうです。資料が少なく創建や御祭祀は不明です。国王神社と云えば関東、茨城の国王神社が有名です。御祭祀は平将門公がここで亡くなられたので神社が建ち、御祭祀になられたようです。しかし、ここまんのう町十郷宮田の国王神社は茨城国王神社との繋がりもはっきりしませんし、拝殿の扁額には國尾神社となっていますから平将門公が御祭祀とは言い切れません。明治時代の仲多度郡の神社表には村社と有ります。どちらにせよ、この地域の氏神様で大切に守られて来たのは間違いない事実です。参道、境内、拝殿、本殿等々掃除が行き届いており気持ちよく参拝出来ました。

However, the connection between the King Shrine of Togo Miyata in Manno Town is not clear, and the flat surface of the hall of worship is Kokuo Shrine, so Taira no Masakado cannot be said to be a ritual. .. There is a village shrine on the table of shrines in Nakatado-gun during the Meiji era. In any case, it is a fact that the Ujigami of this area has been carefully protected. The approach to the shrine, the precincts, the hall of worship, the main hall, etc. were thoroughly cleaned and I was able to worship comfortably.

この国王神社は、香川県仲多度郡満濃町宮田(旧仲南町十郷)に位置します。ここは、国道３２号線の東側に位置し、本殿その他は山際にある。この神社横は宮田公民館になり、駐車場にもなっている!?又、その横には、仲南北小学校跡がある。ここには満濃町民具展示室がある。この神社は、元は国尾神社と言っていたのか、拝殿前の扁額は国尾神社となっている。国王神社と言えば、茨城県にある平将門を祀っている神社が有名であるが、この神社とは何らかの関係があるのか、定かではない!?神社から南西方面を見ると、法然上人ゆかりの西光寺が良く見える!
