It is a promenade where you can enjoy bird watching and walking at the same time.

I parked my car at the coin parking lot on the main road and walked slowly uphill in the residential area for about 10 minutes. I'm glad I came to the cherry blossom season because there are also small sightseeing boats that sometimes pass through hydrophobic areas.

We hiked along the Lake Biwa Canal from Yamashina Station to Keage Station. The promenade is well maintained and there is no difference in elevation, so it is easy to walk. You can easily take a walk with athletic shoes such as sneakers. The area is quiet and surrounded by greenery, so it is soothing. There is the Emperor Tenji Yamashina Ridge on the way, and it is recommended because the approach surrounded by trees is beautiful during the fresh green season. There were spots such as Keage Incline around Keage Station in the goal, and many people took pictures to commemorate it.

While watching the scenery that changes with the seasons You can take a walk. Increase the number of chairs for breaks from 3 years ago, Flatten the sidewalk, Maintenance work was carried out to make it easier to walk. Construction to rebuild the toilet newly, Information signs are also installed at regular intervals. Near Honkokuji, Except near Rakuto High School Car traffic is It is prohibited except for construction and related vehicles. The distance from the vicinity of Eikoji Temple to the vicinity of Ittoen is 3.3km, I think it's easy to walk in about an hour on foot. Usually jogging or hiking, Dog-walking, During the cherry blossom and autumn leaves season, I often see tourists. There are few places paved with paving stones and asphalt, There are dirt roads and gravel stone paved roads. Bicycles can run at slow speeds without problems, Use of carry case, The wheelchair always rattles, Since there are steps and places where the wheels get caught, I think it's difficult to use.

I went to "Bishamon-do" in Yamashina. 15 minutes from the station (30 minutes on foot slowly?) Cross the Suimizu and head to the Suimizu promenade on your way home. Cross the tomb of the Emperor (there was a clean flush toilet at the corner), go to "Honkokuji" and get lost in the housing complex through the tunnel of Suimizu. On Sanjo-dori, take the subway "Misasagi Station" Meet. Going back and forth Today is the subway. It's fun if the weather is nice. There are also new chairs, and many people take a walk. There seems to be no resting place with a roof. There is also a little outdoor light on the north side. No motorcycles allowed. There are many bicycles.

You can approach Daimonji-Yama mountain from this point. It takes 2 hours to get the top of the mountain. It’s really fun to go

I went on a beautiful walk from Yamashina train station to Keage, first along the Biwa Canal, then across the mountain. The first part is very flat and easy, a quiet walk along the canal? Then, when you get to the canal tunnel (near Yougōji Temple), you can turn right and up the mountain to follow a beautiful path. This part is a bit more difficult, but I did it with normal tennis shoes without much problem. You can follow the path towards Nanzen-ji, and then take a detour towards Ama-no-Iwato, a sanctuary in a small cave. It was very nice.
