★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 府道4号線を見下ろす高台にある休憩ポイント。東屋があり弁当スポットに最適だが、車両進入禁止なので見つけにくい。
A resting point on a hill overlooking Prefectural Route 4. There is an eastern store and it is ideal for lunch spots, but it is difficult to find because vehicles are not allowed to enter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shade is in a pleasant enough grove, but rather oddly positioned: it is not along the route of any major walkway that I know of, and there is absolutely no parking for vehicles, either, so I can't imagine is gets much use. If you step out onto the road, and head south, the road passes over a stream bed flowing down from the left to the right. If you scramble down the left side of the bridge, and duck under the bridge to the right (heading westwards) you should be able to find an important archaeological site. Excavations at eight sites surrounding Katsuou-ji temple at the cardinal compass points discovered eight bronze Buddhist statues that had been buried in 1230. The statues and their containers have been designated National Important cultural Properties, and the sites themselves are National Designated Historic Sites. A stone marker now shows the spot where one of these eight statues was excavated, although it, like the other seven monuments at the other seven sites, is not well-maintained.
