★ ★ ★ ★ ★ みなべ町の中心らしく「くろしお」も一部の列車が停車し、駅前から国道42号の交差点の間に公共施設、銀行、郵便局等が並んでいる。時刻表には載らない紀伊田辺行き始発電車の前を走る臨時電車はこの駅が始発。
 Some trains stop at Kuroshio, which seems to be the center of Minabe Town, and public facilities, banks, post offices, etc. are lined up between the station front and the intersection of Route 42. This station is the first special train that runs in front of the first train bound for Kii-Tanabe, which is not on the timetable.

車窓に梅干し工場が見られたり旅気分が上がりました。
I knew Minabe, the village of Ume, but I didn't know Minabe by writing "Southern part".
I could see the umeboshi factory in the train window and I felt like traveling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 紀伊田辺駅よろしく、最近めっきり減ってきている、平屋造りで昔ながらの雰囲気を漂わせている、なんとも懐かしい駅舎。
当駅のホームには、写真にあるように地元の小学生が、これまた地元名産の南高梅の種に着色して作った絵が飾られてますが・・・
うがった見方かもしれませんが、こんだけのたくさんの梅干しの種を調達するのに、まさか小学生に無理くり１日何粒などというノルマを課した結果できた作品なのでは？！などと考えると、なんとも複雑です（笑）
