★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on good reviews I visited this place. Below average for sure. Noodles are pulled straight from the supermarket wrapping, and watched lard being added to the soup. Cold ground meat and cold sliced chicken is the topping. I wouldn’t eat here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious! Happened upon this place just across the street from JR Nara station. Ramen was delicious and the fried chicken was fantastic. We are big ramen fans and have tried many places across Japan and this was one of the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really awesome chicken ramen! We had edamame and gyoza on the side, also super yummy! Very small place, only 6 spots, it felt like the chef was cooking just for us! he was really sweet too. I would definately recommend it if you visit nara!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A ramen highlight for the seekers. This place is very small, only sits 6 people. The price is fair, top ramen is 750 yen, it is an one man operation and it does the job spot on.
Both the red dragon and the chicken thick broth are outstanding.

It’s across the street from the Nara JR Station - on the corner of Sanjo street.
It’s quite small - it only has 6 seats so there is sometimes a line up. You order from a vending machine, which has English available.
The ramen is delicious - great flavour. The soup is pork and chicken based. The chashu is good and the noodles match well with the soup - great balance.
The side menu is also very nice - karaage, deep fried gyoza, and more.
The restaurant is open till late - around 3am (last order is at 2:30am). It’s perfect for a late night meal. The restaurant also has Corona measures in place: there is a face scanner to check your temperature, sanitizers readily available and plastic partitions.
I look forward to my next meal here - enjoy ?
