お	おやきさん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 畝傍陵墓参考地として、宮内庁が管理しているので後円部は立ち入り禁止です。全体でみると奈良県では1番、全国でみても6番の規模を誇る大前方後円墳です。前方部は自由に散策できますけど、ススキを始め草がボウボウで長ズボンがいります。被葬者は長らく不明でしたけど、1991年にたまたま開口部が開いていて一般市民が中に入って写真撮影したものが、マスコミにて公開されました。その内容からみて被葬者は、欽明天皇とその后である堅塩媛である事が、ほぼ確実となりました。当時の権力者は蘇我氏で、蘇我氏以外にこんな大古墳を造れなかったでしょう。先に葬った欽明天皇の石棺を手前にして、後に追葬した自分の娘、堅塩媛を奥にするなど、いかに蘇我氏が天皇を象徴として権力を握っていたか分かります。因みにこの近くにある植山古墳が、科長の里に改葬される前の竹田皇子とその母親である推古天皇陵である事が分かりました。推古天皇の母親は堅塩媛です。娘である推古天皇は、母親の近くに眠りたかったのでしょう。この事からも見瀬丸山古墳の被葬者は、堅塩媛と欽明天皇である事を裏付けていると思います。 The rear circle is off limits as it is managed by the Imperial Household Agency as a reference site for the ridge tombs.
