以前は「駿河嶺（するがれい）」と呼ばれてきましたが，最近は「するがみね」と呼ばれることが多くなり，この山頂の山名標も「駿河峰」「スルガ峰」と表記されたものの方が多いようです
丸子アルプスの中では，比較的狭い山頂だと思いますが，丸太ベンチがたくさん設置されており，休憩しやすくなっています
ただし山頂は杉林の中にあるため，樹間にわずかに開いた小窓のような展望しかありません
