三	三原淳 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 美濃信濃国境。岐阜県と長野県の県境でもあったが、2005年に長野県木曽郡山口村が越県合併によって岐阜県中津川市に合併されたことで県境が東へ移動し、県境とはずれることになる。島崎藤村の直筆とは気づかなかった。 Mino Shinano border. H	Howard Banwell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Right opposite the Sinchaya Ryokan is a pretty little garden that I have to assume belongs to the ryokan. Nearby are a couple of inscribed stones. One has a haiku by famed poet Basho ("After being seen/Off, and seeing off/The Kiso autumn") and the other a quote by writer Toson ("North from here is the Kiso Road"). It is a delightful, quiet little spot, if you are walking or driving the Nakasendo Highway, do spend a few minutes here. There is a car park (free) with a toilet just round the corner, and also a stretch of original Nakasendo Highway a stone's throw away.
