★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1975年12月、小田急線・下北沢にオープンした40坪のライブハウス。独自の文化圏・下北沢でロック文化を隆盛させた。サザンオールスターズ、上田正樹、憂歌団、子供ばんど、泉谷しげる、金子マリ、大橋純子、中島みゆき、ソー・バッド・レビューなどが出演したほか、関西のブルース系ミュージシャンの拠点にもなった。また、タモリが東京初進出のライブを行なったのもこの下北沢ロフトだった。サザンオールスターズの毛ガニこと野沢秀行、元メンバーの大森隆志がアルバイトをしていたことでも知られる。1980年、当時の店長へ譲渡。
A 40 tsubo live house opened in Shimokitazawa on the Odakyu Line in December 1975. Rock culture flourished in Shimokitazawa, a unique cultural area. In addition to starring Southern All Stars, Masaki Ueda, Yukadan, Children's Band, Shigeru Izumiya, Mari Kaneko, Junko Ohashi, Miyuki Nakajima, and So Bad Review, it has also become a base for blues musicians in the Kansai region. It was also at Shimokitazawa Loft that Tamori performed his first live in Tokyo.
