J	Jack Voltrades on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go here every Japan trip and always find great things to buy. My focus is anime/games/Gundam and related puzzles/clothes/statues/figurines. Great store and does tax free for foreigners. I recommend having a look.
J	Jjs Sg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Will never buy anything from this shop any more. Potential customer beware. Bought a SKII facial treatment cleanser from this store. Price tagged is ¥6300. The sales gal claimed price before tax so since I am foreign visitor, I will be able to purchase tax free. They did the process and I paid ¥6300 each for qty of 2. I just found out that duty free at airport is selling ¥6100. I assume that Duty free shop at airport is selling at official list price, then how this shop could sell above list price ?!?! I came across another shop selling ¥4410 for the same product ! I would not compare ¥4410 vs ¥6300 but I expected Laox should not be selling more than what the airport duty free shop is selling. Almost all the staffs speaks mandarin so I guess they are all trying to make quick bucks from the Chinese tourist.

The store itself is a Tourist trap - trinkets, etc - and multi-voltage items such as rice cookers - which are popular with the Chinese. For the locals, it has little value - except if you are new to Japan, and are daunted by the language, and/or are looking for something which has an non-Japanese writing/electrical interface.
