It is introduced everywhere as a mysterious spot. Maybe it's because of the wavelength of the light (whether my eyes are strange), and when I take a picture, it turns green. It seems that this happened because the slope of the hand-dug tunnel was corrected. The shape on the upper side is the Kannon digging (the shape of a shogi piece) from the Meiji era. Plants flourish on the upper side, and you will be struck by a mysterious sensation that seems to slip back in time to ancient times. The inside of the tunnel is narrow and cars cannot pass each other. Parking is prohibited in the tunnel. Let's go on foot. At the end of the tunnel is a tasteful inn. However, it is a pity that the Nakase promenade can only be reached halfway due to the damage caused by the typhoon in 2019. * This area is a treasure trove of hand-dug tunnels. Tunnel enthusiasts go to the Tsukizaki area, and the waterway cave of Tomi Falls is beautiful in this vicinity.

Park your car in a nearby parking lot and then walk to see the inside of the tunnel. The hand-dug part remains, and I am impressed that I dug well. After passing through the tunnel, you can walk to the sidewalk beside the Yoro Valley.

It's a major variant tunnel! Immediately from the Yoro Valley, it is a tunnel that has become famous on SNS in recent years. There are three main reasons for its popularity! ① Since it is located right next to the tourist spot called Yoro Gorge, there are many parking lots and it is relatively easy to access. This is very important. Location is so important in attracting customers that it is said that 80% of the service industry is located (excluding ramen shops). No matter how good the service is, there are many stores that withdraw with tears because of the bad location. This also applies to tourist destinations. Secret spots such as "hidden inns" and "unexplored areas" are popular, but it is important to be secret enough to make you think "I want to go too!", And in an extreme story, Minamitorishima can become a popular spot. There is no. In that respect, the Yoro Gorge is a reasonable distance of about 3 hours by car from the city center, but rudely speaking, the minor feeling that is not a popular regular spot like Hakone, Nikko, and Karuizawa raises the influencer feeling of tourists. And the "rare feeling" that you rarely see in everyday life, such as the "bare digging tunnel (but the bottom is sprayed with concrete)", isn't it a donpisha in the recent trend of seeking extraordinary life? ② Fantastic green lighting. The beautiful green lighting when taken in a photograph has made it popular as a fantastic landscape. However, as you can see by visiting the site and actually seeing it with the naked eye, it is actually the color of an ordinary fluorescent lamp. Apparently, it looks like that because of the frequency of the fluorescent lamp. Therefore, please correct it to yellow with polarized glasses in the brain. ③ A rare two-story tunnel Further tunnel above the tunnel. What's this? As you can see in the photo, this tunnel has a very high ceiling, and there is a large opening in the middle. Apparently, it used to be a tunnel that leads to the upper opening, but since the exit is steep and inconvenient, it seems that it was later dug further down to join the conventional tunnel. Therefore, the inside of the tunnel has a fairly high worship slope (the central part is high and both ends are low). By the way, if you look up at this tunnel and the high part of the ceiling, there are three large horizontal holes. It seems that this was an air raid shelter during the war, but it is unknown when it was excavated. I wonder if this was a driveway because there was no record of construction work?

It is a tunnel full of digging feeling. It's a width that you can't pass by a car, but you can make a U-turn in the back, so it's okay to drive, but it feels like you're walking.

The entrance is a little difficult to see from the street! If you come by car, it's best to stop there because there is a gravel square on the left side after passing through the tunnel and crossing the bridge! I think it will be crowded on holidays, so let's come on weekdays ❗️ There are also spectators in the tunnel, so let's drive slowly and safely ❗️

The first place I went to in Chiba was here. I arrived at midnight, so it looked like a ghost spot. The sound of dripping water was heard in the footsteps, which made my liver cool. Daytime is good, but nighttime is also good. However, be careful of frost and freezing as it goes up to -5 ℃ in winter. Also, there are extremely few street lights, so it's pitch black at night, which is good.
