★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西の河原を経由して温泉街の散策をする時に利用しました。無料・広い・きれいなトイレがあるというとても良い条件の揃っている駐車場だったのであえてこちらの駐車場を草津温泉に訪れた時には利用していたのですが、他の方の口コミを読んでいると有料になったという情報を見つけました。この駐車場が有料になったのであれば、利用する駐車場を考えなければならないと思っています。
I used it when I took a walk in the hot spring town via the riverbank in the west. It was a parking lot with very good conditions such as free, large and clean toilet, so I used this parking lot when I visited Kusatsu Onsen, but I am reading the reviews of other people. I found the information that it was charged. If this parking lot is charged, I think I have to think about the parking lot to use.

湯畑まで若干歩きますが、西の河原公園を突っ切って行けるので日帰りで寄るにはここの駐車場が最適です。
但し24時間営業となっていますが20時ごろには閉鎖するようですので注意してください(2021年11月現在)。
湯畑から帰ったら閉鎖ギリギリの時間で、管理者に追い立てられるように罵声を浴びせられたのが残念でした。
こちらもGoogleの情報だけで行動してしまったのが悪かったのですがなんだかなぁという気分でしたので事前に最新の情報を調べておくことをおすすめいたします。

You can walk a little to Yubatake, but since you can go through Sainokawara Park, the parking lot here is the best place to stop by on a day trip.
However, please note that it is open 24 hours a day, but it seems to close around 20:00 (as of November 2021).
It was a pity that when I got home from Yubatake, it was almost closed and I was sweared by the manager so that I could be driven away.

去年までは無料でしたが、ゴールデンウィークとお盆と年末年始は有料600円になりました。
20時30分から朝6時30分までは駐車できません。厳しくなったようで、
「夜間止めている場合は警察に連絡する」との張り紙までありました。
トイレは18時以降鍵が閉められます
仕方がないことかもしれませんが、どんどん改悪していきますね……(´；ω；｀)
Visited in June 2021.
It was free until last year, but during Golden Week, Obon and the year-end and New Year holidays, the fee was 600 yen.
Parking is not possible from 20:30 to 6:30 in the morning. It seems to be tougher
There was even a post saying, "If you stop at night, contact the police."
The toilet will be locked after 18:00

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西の河原露天風呂に行くために停めました。
無料ですが、きれいなトイレもあり、駐車場自体はとても広いです。
国道292号（天狗通り）を渡るとすぐに西の河原公園の西側入口なので便利です。
西の河原露天風呂まではずっと下りで500ｍくらいありますが、景色を見ながら歩けばあっという間です。
帰りはずっと上りなので、後半ちょっと疲れちゃいます?
一応除雪はしているようですが、積雪時はかなり滑りやすいので、気をつけてください。

I stopped to go to the Sainokawara open-air bath.

As soon as you cross National Route 292 (Tengu Dori), it is convenient because it is the western entrance of Sainokawara Park.
It's about 500m down to the Sainokawara Open-air Bath, but it's quick to walk while looking at the scenery.
I'm going up all the way back, so I'm a little tired in the second half ?
It seems that snow is being removed, but it is quite slippery when it is snowing, so please be careful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 通常は近くの西の河原温泉に行くお客様向けの駐車場かと思いますが、無料の駐車場なので、自転車で渋峠を目指すサイクリストの拠点でしたり、冬はスキー・スノボのお客さんが使うにもちょうどいい感じの駐車場です。
施設としてはトイレと自販機しかありません。
西の河原温泉へは片道徒歩500mくらいで行きは下り坂でいいですが、帰りは上り坂で年配の人にはちょっとしんどいかも。
Normally, it is a parking lot for customers who go to the nearby Sainokawara Onsen, but since it is a free parking lot, it can be used as a base for cyclists aiming for Shibutoge by bicycle, or for ski and snowboard customers in winter. It's a nice parking lot.
The only facilities are toilets and vending machines.
It's about a 500m walk to Sainokawara Onsen one way, and it's okay to go downhill, but on the way back uphill, it may be a little difficult for elderly people.
