建物も他の共同浴場と比べて近代的な造りになっていて、よく手入れされていました。
草津に訪れるのが初めてなら、他のところに時間を割いたほうが良いかもしれません。
宿泊施設が近くて温泉フリークな方ならオススメです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 365日観光客が絶えない草津温泉で、観光客の姿が見えない共同浴場です。
パッと見温泉施設に見えない建物に在る湯槽には、透明で酸味のあるお湯がなみなみと注がれていて、この空間を貸切状態で独占できて気分は最高?
この共同浴場は正直無名のままでいて欲しいですね。
個人的には草津温泉内の秘湯と思います。
It is a communal bath where tourists can not see in Kusatsu Onsen where tourists are incessant on 365 days.
A transparent, sour hot water is poured into the water bath in a building that does not look like a hot spring facility and it is possible to monopolize this space in private condition and the feeling is the best.
I want this public bath to remain honest and anonymous.
I personally think that it is a secret bath in Kusatsu Onsen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 町内に何箇所かある共同浴場の一つです。中でも一番綺麗でしょう。無料で草津の酸性泉を楽しめます。使用にあたっては共同浴場のルールを守りましょう。寒くても換気は必須です。多少でも硫化水素は発生してますから安全第一です。硫黄の匂いと言いますが、硫黄は無臭です。あれは硫化水素の匂いです。源泉は町内から少し離れた場所にある万代鉱源泉です。湯量も豊富で、この温泉水を熱交換してお湯を作り、それを町内の道路下に流してます。融雪目的です。草津湯畑で湧いている温泉水とは異なる源泉です。

浴室内に、かけ湯用、湯槽とわかれて有ります。
入りやすい温度で浴槽が広いので、ゆっくり入られます♪
※『観光客のマナーが悪い！』と言われているので、皆で温泉ルールを守って楽しく気持ちよく入りましょう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 住宅地の中にある無料の公衆浴場です。脱衣所も広く、浴場も広めです。利用者も少ないので広々と利用できるかと思います。湯加減はちょうど良いくらいです。

観光客には公にオープンにされていない「隠れ湯」的な無料の共同浴場。マナーを守って入浴できるなら、観光客でも利用可。
他の共同浴場の多くが木造であるのに対して、こちらはコンクリート造で一貫している。建物自体は大きいが、半分は集会所になっているので、浴場は通常の広さ。
浴槽と洗い場の他に、洗い場専用の長桶が設置されているのはコチラのみ。つまり、他の共同浴場では石鹸やシャンプーが使えるのか判断に迷うことが多々ある中、コチラでは石鹸やシャンプーは使用OKということになる。
通気口が小さいせいか、浴室にはモウモウと湯気が立ち込めていてミストサウナのようになっている。
お湯の温度は源泉の流れ口から一番遠いところ（一番ぬるいところ）で45.5℃。
ミストサウナのような気分を味わいたい方や、自分の裸体を積極的にオープンにしたくない方にオススメ。
