★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 延喜式神名帳に名前を残す、いわゆる「式内社」であって古い歴史を持つ神社。御祭神は「長白羽命」という神さまであり、天照大御神が天岩戸に籠った際に麻を植えて和幣を作った、つまり衣料に関わる神さまで丹後ちりめんの当地だからこそ明治になってこの御祭神にしたのかも。江戸時代以前には「白鬚大明神」とされていたという。だから江戸時代以前からずっと今の御祭神であったのかはわからない。
