熊野神社(くまのじんじゃ)は京都府舞鶴市の東部。京都府舞鶴市泉源寺の愛宕山の南側山麓に鎮座する神社です。ご祭神伊奘册命速玉男命事解男命旧社格村社泉源寺 (せんげんじ) 地域の氏神です。地域住民から大切にされているようで、立派で綺麗に整理された神社です。境内には、手水舎、石灯篭、鳥居、狛犬、本殿、摂末社、巨木などがあります。参道の明神鳥居には「熊野神社」と記された扁額がかかっています。覆屋の中の流れ造りの本殿には、繊細な彫刻が施されています。摂末社は、天満神社、大川神社、蛭子神社、武太神社、疫神社など。ケヤキ、タブノキなどの巨木が沢山あります。熊野神社は、後方の愛宕山（標高２８２ｍ）の登山口で、頂上には泉源寺城 (せんげんじじょう)があったらしいです。また、枯木浦伝説（舞鶴湾東港）で神様が登った笠松山は愛宕山と言われています。枯木浦伝説舞鶴東港のことを昔は「枯木浦（かれきがうら）」と言ったそうです。昔、少彦名（すくなひこな）と大巳貫（おおなむち）の２人の神様が、この地で国を造り海に清らかな島が欲しいと笠松山に登り、彼彼（かれか）、来来（かれこ・おいでおいで）と呼ぶと戸島、蛇島、烏島、そして渕嶋（現在の浮島）の４つの島が、枯木浦に集まってきたという、言い伝えが残っています。（丹後風土記）また、羽衣伝説の言い伝えもあるようです。 (2021/5/8撮影)

A long time ago, two gods, Sukunahikona and Onamuchi, climbed Mt. Kasamatsu to build a country here and want a clean island in the sea. There is a legend that four islands, Toshima, Jashima, Karasushima, and Fuchishima (currently Ukishima), have gathered in Dead Kiura.
