Kspace - Minato City

近所迷惑な行動をする、マナーの悪い親が多い。 I'm sure this is a great place for the kids, but they need to do something about the people (parents) that go there. When people pick up their kids, they block the whole pedestrian road and won't give way even when asking politely "sumimasen". They park their bicycles everywhere. Many people park their car in the very narrow road in front of the building (where parking is illegal btw), so other drivers cannot pass and have to honk their car horn multiple times to notify the people to come to move their cars. Sometimes the staff will play guitar outside in the early morning very loudly. It's very annoying.

K space is the only one I would like to make my son to go. Because teachers are very kind and professional having musical skill, atmosphere is very bright, class room is also open space without any keys and If I were a child, I thought I could have fun only at K space like far and away a best.

This school is simply amazing! The staff is very kind, pays attention to detail and offers great advice to parents. My daughter attented private lessons at K space in order to prepare for her interview at another international school and we were really impressed with the results the teachers were able to acheive in a week!

Creativity, Consistency and Community Tokyo is fortunate to have many fine International Schools for all ages. When we began the search for an International School 6 years ago for our first child, we spent considerable time and effort researching. In the end, we decided on Kspace. Since then, all 3 of our children have spent time there. Here are my observations on why I am extremely happy with our decision. Creativity In world increasingly focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), even at early-learning ages, Kspace stands out as a school focused on creativity and the arts. From my perspective, their secret sauce is expanding young children’s creativity by seamlessly weaving music and arts into their early-learning curriculum. For example, many young children (3-5) don’t have the fine motor skills to draw or create art. Kspace instructor use techniques such a splatter painting, watercolors, hand painting, tape resist, among others, to creatively solve this issue. The result, at the end of the year each student has created a portfolio of art. From my experience, there is tremendous value in this portfolio as they kids can visualize their body of work created over the year. At this early age, this resonates much more than a folder of printouts. For music, Kspace is the only early learning school we have visited that does not use CDs or DVDs when doing sing alongs. Most, if not all, teachers are well versed in the arts, usually with a specialization in music or art. When it is sing along time, the teachers will sing and some will play instruments. The atmosphere created is very different that pressing play on a device. Again, from my personal perspective, all 3 of my children experienced an extremely creative environment. The children would sing at home and actively want to do art and crafts. Upon moving schools, my older children began to focus on core components of standardized education. So I am grateful for their time at Kspace. Community Kspace puts a tremendous amount of effort into facilitating a community at their school. There is an annual picnic and coffee mornings. They get very high marks for this. From the information I have heard from others and my own experience, this is often the case at schools with an interenational feel and many expats. So I am not sure if this is a differentiating factor. Consistency We have had 3 children learn at Kspace (over the past 6 years), and the level of education has remained top notch. The school continues to find top talent, and delivers a extremely unique product. This is not an easy feat, in a field where the product depends so highly on the people involved. There is a lot of time that goes into this on the surface and behind the scenes. Kspace was the right choice for our family. We wanted a heavy emphasis on creativity in the early-learning years, and we have been, and continue to be, extremely satisfied with our choice.

Great international school for children from 14 months to 6 years old. My son and daughter attend this school and they really enjoy it. Wonderful teachers and staff, who take good care of our children! A lot of music, art and fun activities, but they also make use of the most up-to-date learning methods. They learn so much by playing and doing, always big smiles on their faces!

Kspace is incredibly good at making all the learning a real fun by taking every possible approach such as leveraging live music, drama, crafts, jokes and a lot more. Their after-school programs are full of choice and very helpful for parents who are busy but want their kids to explore many things.

Our son started at Kspace at 18months old. We were new to Japan and I was anxious about leaving him. Juliet, Gigi and her team went out of their way to make me (and my son) feel comfortable and after visiting a few other establishments, I knew this was the one where he would be happiest. He stayed at Kspace up until Super Bugs (5 years old) and we couldn't be happier with the school. The team are incredibly hardworking and go above and beyond to make learning so incredibly fun. You can see the passion they have and it shows in the work and the performances that us lucky parents get to see each term. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We put our son in Kspace's winter school and my son had an absolute blast. Kspace had a wonderful and thoughtful program with many activities that were engaging, fun and creative. He brought home adorable arts and crafts and special treats! I felt like the teachers went above and beyond to make it a really special program for the kids. I appreciated the communication, pictures and newsletters. Thank you to Kspace for all you do!
