寛正2年(1461年)頃創建されたと伝えられているが、元々は天台宗であったとされる。
大永7年(1527年)、朴沢の地頭であった朴沢加賀守が曹洞宗に改めて開山したことから、朴沢加賀守の木像が祀られている。
現在の建物は、文化6年(1809年)に全焼したことから、翌年建て替えられたもの。
The main image is Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha.
It is said that it was founded around 1461, but it was originally believed to have been a Tendai sect.
In 727 (1527), Park Kaga Mamoru, who was the head of Park Sawa, reopened to Soto sect, so the statue of Park Kaga Mamoru is enshrined.
The current building was rebuilt the following year because it burned down in 6th year of culture (1809).
