★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創建年代等は不詳ながら、慶長11年（千代田区）二番町から市谷田町へ、寛永12年市ヶ谷柳町へ移転、開山は亮珎（寛永18年寂）だといいます。明治43年に当地へ移転しました。
美しい五重塔が目を引きます。
Although the age of the building is unknown, it was relocated from Nibancho in 11th year (Chiyoda Ward) to Ichiyata Town, 12th year in Kanei, Ichigaya Yanagicho, and Kaizan is said to be Ryoei (18th year in Kanei). It was moved to this area in 1891.
The beautiful five-storied pagoda stands out.

真言宗豊山派のお寺で七星山息災寺光徳院といい、霊場第五十八番札所になります。
御本尊は大日如来になります。
観音堂の本尊の千手観世音菩薩は平安時代に筑前に流された菅原道真の自刻といわれています。
山門の前に御府内八十八ヵ所の標石と「天満宮御直作:千手観世音菩薩」の石柱が並ぶ。
境内にはいると左手には東京では珍しい平成八年落慶の五重塔が建っている、風が吹くと五重塔の風鐸が美しい音色を奏でてくれる。

五重塔には、大日如来が祀られ、四方にも如来像が安置されているとか。
