★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桜の馬場にあるこんぴら狗の銅像?イラストレーター湯村輝彦さんデザインの愛嬌がある犬。昔、お参りできない方の代わりに参拝した犬は首から木札、初穂料や食費を下げ、みんなでお世話していたそうです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 700段以上の階段は結構疲れました。
そのあと、奥の宮までがまたまた大変でした?合計1300段越えは足が上がらないくらいでしたが、達成感はありました☺️
The stairs with more than 700 steps are quite tired.

江戸時代には，本人が「こんぴら参り」できない場合は，代わりに犬がお参りしたという伝説的な風習。
◎「こんぴら狗」とは
●江戸時代「こんぴら参り」と書かれた袋を首につるした犬が主人に代わり旅をする風習。
●袋の中には飼い主を記した木札，初穂料，道中の食費が入っていた。
●讃岐方面へ行く旅人が順番に犬の世話をしながら犬は旅を続けた。
●江戸時代には「こんぴら狗」を世話した人もご利益があるとされたので，みんな協力したのだそうです。
●こんぴらさんに辿りついた犬は，お札をもらい一路ご主人の下へ。
●でも犬って途中で逃げ帰りそうなんですが，本当の話かなあ？
本当なら夢がある。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un bellissimo santuario immerso nella natura e nelle infinite scale. Assolutamente da visitare.
A causa degli acquazzoni recenti non è stato possibile andare fino alla parte più alta del santuario per motivi di sicurezza. Ma ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti lo stesso.
Vicino ci sono anche tanti negozietti di incisione sul legno molto belli.
A beautiful sanctuary surrounded by nature and infinite stairs. A must visit.
Due to the recent downpours it was not possible to go to the highest part of the sanctuary for safety reasons. But we were happy with it all the same.
There are also many very nice woodcut shops nearby.
